MS Dhoni on Rising Pune Supergiants: We Have Nothing to Lose

Rising Pune Supergiants have a lot of work to do. Finding form, is one such work, which they need to be doing soon, seeing that they now have just six matches left.

Losing to Mumbai Indians last night have virtually ended their hopes of reaching the playoffs, and injury of Steve Smith is nothing short of disaster for them.

They have lost four key players to injuries this season, and are currently placed in the bottom third of the table with just four points off eight games.

Seeing the current scenario, the Supergiants captain MS Dhoni has asked his players to express themselves in the reaming matches.

“At times we were thinking too much about what happens if we lose a few wickets,” Dhoni said. “What we need to do is go out there, express ourselves.”

The Supergiants skipper, meanwhile, praised his bowlers for displaying an improved performance, while adding that there’s still a lot of improvement to be done.

“The bowling has shown improvement, but it doesn’t really count if you’re not winning games,” Dhoni insisted. “We will change a few theories and try a few more things, and hopefully it will come off.”
