MS Dhoni seems to be enjoying every moment of his free time from cricket. He is spending time with his family, working on his fitness, and most recently spotted playing football in Ranchi.
The Indian captain spent 90 minutes on the field, and also scored a stupendous goal. Dhoni also assisted in a couple of goals, as his side won the exhibition football match 6-2 at the Silli AstroTurf Stadium.
“I played a full soccer match after a long time and enjoyed it thoroughly,” MS Dhoni said, after the match.
Dhoni attracted a large crowd at the stadium amidst heavy downpour. The Indian captain was among the most active players on the field, and the spectators cheered him throughout the game.
“Dhoni’s presence in the field is a great motivation for other players,” Sudesh Mahato, who facilitated, and played the football match. “There is so much to learn from him.”
The Indian captain is not part of the ongoing West Indies tour, which features only Test match. He will be making a comeback against New Zealand in the five-match ODI series, starting October 16.
