MS Dhoni Test

The Indian team will play as many as 13 Tests at home in next five-six months. Virat Kohli’s men are going strength to strength with sides like England, Australia and others in the longest format of the game.

MS Dhoni feels that the Indian Cricket Team is becoming a solid unit in the five-day format.

“I think the Indian Test team is shaping up well,” Dhoni said. “It seemed we were more settled in T20 and ODI but now our team had a good batting experience. If you notice, for the last 2 and a half years.”

“We had the same batting unit, barring one or two changes. So you learn a lot. Test remains the ultimate format.”

The Indian limited-over captain also praised the fast bowlers, who are making their mark. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and others have impressed everyone in the West Indies and United States.

“On top of it, one plus point is that all our fast bowlers are fit now and the way they are bowling. We have 10 proper fast bowlers and it’s an asset,” MS Dhoni said.

“Now we will be playing a lot of matches, so we can rotate our fast bowlers if we want to.”

Indian team’s next assignment is a home series against New Zealand in September and October. India will play a three-match Test series, followed by a five-match one-day series against the Kiwis.
