Ravindra Jadeja made full use of the rank turner in the Mohali Test to rip through South Africa batting order, and helped India in taking the initiative in the five-match series.
The left-arm spinner finished with a fifer in the second innings, and played an instrumental role in bundling out South Africa inside three days in Mohali.
It was a comeback game for Ravindra Jadeja, who was playing in whites for Team India, after almost 14 months. And, he made his comeback in style by claiming the man of the match award.
“We played on turning tracks at Rajkot (in Ranji) so I had confidence about my bowling, I worked hard this season, I was bowling in the nets for hours,” Ravindra Jadeja said.
“This was my comeback game I was looking to play positive, I scored three fifties in domestic as well, it has been a pressure game for me, I was trying to prove myself again, so I am really happy.”
