Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the fittest cricketers around. He doesn’t spend much time in the gym. Still, there are not many around who can match his level of fitness and endurance on the field.

Dhoni is currently gearing up for the series against Sri Lanka. He is not a part of the Test setup anymore. India’s most successful captain shared his fitness secrets, and stressed on the importance of taking right supplements.

“Fitness is a major part of any sport today whether it is skill-oriented or endurance-oriented,” Dhoni said. “If you have right kind of food and supplement it with training, you can get much more out of yourself.”

“Enjoying life is important, but as an athlete you need to know what things you can’t do that your brother or sister can. These days, players get educated about what they need to do,” he added.

“Most of the players learn from the seniors and there will be physios to assist you,” he spoke during Chennai Super Kings reunion and TNPL-2 inauguration.
