Same story, different day. New Zealand faced yet another collapse on the Indian soil and failed to put up a competitive total against India. The Blackcaps failed to capitalise on the platform set by skipper Kane Williamson.
Williamson was the standout performer, and scored his eighth ODI century. He held the New Zealand innings together, but unfortunately he was only one fighting for the visitors in Delhi.

The Indian bowlers restricted the Blackcaps to an under-par 242 at the Feroz Shah Kotla. They bowled superbly in the death, and picked wickets at regular intervals. India never allowed the visitors to get going.
Jasprit Bumrah was the wrecker-in-chief in the death and finished with three wickets. Amit Mishra also picked three, while Umesh Yadav Axar Patel and Kedar Jadhav chipped-in with one apiece.
“Wicket was a bit helpful, slower side, so you can use your variations. Reverse swing as well,” Bumrah said. “I never go for wickets, I try to contain the batsman in limited overs because he batsmen will make mistakes.”
“I used to play a lot of tennis-ball cricket and bowled many yorkers there. Always good to have overs under your belt.”
