It’s unbelievable to imagine the way things change. It was only a few days ago that the Indian team could do no wrong in Australia in the shortest version of the game.

But, from the time the young Sri Lankan team was able to blank the powerful hosts in Pune, the pressure is back on India again.
Ahead of the 2nd T20 with the Lankans in Ranchi, India fortunately are in good stead. They have learnt their lesson the hard way.
It’s mutually agreed that the Pune loss was a good wake-up call for the team and now the team has to move on to win the T20 series without further hiccups.
And to do that, India would have to do a few things right for the Ranchi game. At a time when the entire world is talking about how India will be the favourites at home to win the World T20 Championship next month, the Pune T20 defeat has given a few positives to the team.
It is true that India folded after an early batting collapse in the first T20 match, but the opposition still didn’t have a cake-walk in the match.
They had to fight till the 18th over of the match to snatch a victory from India. Therefore, if India can put together a better show in Ranchi, it could become a Himalayan task for the visitors.
You actually have to wait and see how India approach this game on Friday evening and that too on a pitch that is quite different from the spongy Pune pitch.
