Despite being young, there was no pressure over Jasprit Bumrah in the Asia Cup final, as he fired his yorkers at will against Bangladesh.
Bumrah’s consistency has not only earned praise from cricket pundits, but also from the captain MS Dhoni, who is not reluctant of using him in death overs.
Dhoni said being unorthodox is helping Bumrah, but he has also worked hard to gain skills of bowling the yorkers consistently in crunch situations.
“Jasprit, the beauty is that he can bowl yorkers, if you don’t have the yorker you have to try a lot of other deliveries, his slightly different action also helps him a bit,” Dhoni said.
The Indian captain also praised allrounder Hardik Pandya. Dhoni called the allrounder a complete package, who is providing the stability to the Indian team.
“Hardik can bowl a few overs for us, so if he can give us four in T20s,” Dhoni said about his bowling department. “With his batting and fielding he is a great package.”
