The Indian Cricket Team is not taking the West Indies lightly, despite sealing the four-match Test series. Virat Kohli’s men have won the series with two wins in three matches. The 4th Test is starting tomorrow in Trinidad.
Ishant Sharma said that the team is not getting complacent, and will be giving its best shot in the final match of the series. A win at the Port of Spain will help the Indian team in reaching the top-spot of the ICC Test Rankings.
“We have won the series, but the fourth Test is still to be played,” Ishant said. “Test cricket is such a format where you can never be complacent. We lead 2-0, but if win the next match.”
“We will be the No.1 Test team in the world and there can be nothing better than that,” he added. “This is a young team and we want to reach there (top spot). When we play the fourth Test, we will look to dominate, score runs, bowl the opposition out and win the Test.”
The Indian Team won the 1st Test by a thumping margin in Antigua. In the 2nd Test, the West Indies displayed a solid performance to clinch a draw. But, India sealed the series with a win in St Lucia.
