Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s majestic spell in the 3rd Test gave India a shot at the series win. The visitors seized that opportunity, and demolished the West Indies to seal the four-match series in St Lucia.
Indian speedster Ishant Sharma heaped praise on Bhuvneshwar for his firing spell. He added that the others took inspiration from Bhuvi to run through the Windies line-up in the second innings.
“You saw how Bhuvneshwar Kumar ran through the line-up in just one spell. He got five wickets in the first innings. If one bowler can do it, it is possible for others to do it too,” Ishant said.
“We were confident,” the Indian speedster added. “If you have to win a Test, you have to take 20 wickets and in the second innings, all the bowlers chipped in.”
The Indian team has already sealed the series by winning Tests in Antigua and Gros Islet. Jason Holder’s men managed to draw the 2nd Test with some gritty batting on the final day of the game.
Virat Kohli and company is heading as favorites in the final match of the series at the Port of Spain, Trinidad.
