Dale Steyn had to miss the practice session owing to flu and blocked nose as South Africa are gearing to face defending champions India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 23.

Steyn played in South Africa’s tournament opener against Zimbabwe and but has been out since because of bad health. He was expected to recover in four-day time, but it seems the Proteas speedster is not yet recovered completely.

There are no official words on the fitness of Steyn but with he doesn’t have many days to recover now. Steyn showed symptoms of flu ahead of Zimbabwe clash but he participated in the game and returned with an unimpressive figure of 1 for 64.

Both India and South Africa have started their World Cup campaign on a positive note but the latter is going into the clash with heads up, as the defending champions have never beaten the Proteas in previous three World Cup clashes.
