Good to have Dwayne Bravo back in the side, says skipper MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings have been one lethal side, be it in Indian Premier League (IPL) or Champions League T20 (CLT20), and are heading as favourites to clinch their second CLT20 title.

The presence of Indian internationals, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, destructive southpaw Suresh Raina and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, have made CSK a team to beat in the tournament.

Skipper Dhoni, however, before their tournament opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, has pointed out the inclusion of Windies limited-overs skipper Dwayne Bravo in the side and how the all-rounder is instrumental in yellow brigade’s balance.

“The good thing for us will be, we missed Dwayne Bravo during the IPL. He got injured,” Dhoni pointed out. “That really affected the strength, combination and stability of the side. It is good to have him (Bravo) back.”

The CSK has recently started training for the forthcoming competition but Dhoni insisted that it is more about adapting to the conditions, as most players were playing international cricket for their respective sides.

“Also, most of the players have been playing international cricket and most of them have scored runs in the recent series,” the skipper said. “So, it’s looking good. Still, we will have to see how quickly we adapt to the conditions.”
