Cobras v Knights highlights: Watch Williamson’s fastest CLT20 century

Kane Williamson, the man with a midas touch, struck the fastest hundred in the Champions League T20 against the Cape Cobras to help his side cross 200 runs mark and set a massive win against the Africans.

Knights, however, registered a 33 runs (D/L) win over the Cobras and the margin could have been much bigger if the rain would not have interrupted the game.

Williamson is in form of his life and he carried his international form to the club cricket and scored a scorching unbeaten ton. The Black Caps international scored an unbeaten 49-ball 101 and was instrumental in Knights’ victory.

“I suppose it has to be my standout T20 innings and it was nice to bat through,” Williamson said. “Always trying to work on my shots and hit the balls into the gaps and adapting to different conditions.”

“It’s nice to contribute like that today,” he added. “We had a bit of luck at the start with balls falling into gaps, and it was great batting with Anton Devcich. It’s great to have four wins in a row and play at the same ground and be reasonably familiar with it.”

Knights captain Daniel Flynn was also all praise for Williamson, who played an instrumental role in setting a thumping win over the Cobras.

“Fantastic innings from Kane,” Flynn said. “It was great to watch. The openers did it in the last game as well, and I hope continue. Bit of luck with the weather, we just managed to get the overs in. We have been fortunate in the last few games, that it’s gone our way.”
