The Super Kings are currently camped in Bangalore to play Dolphins on September 22 and during a rain-interrupted practice session Dhoni decided to get some badminton practice.

The CSK skipper played few doubles matches with the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) members and also fired some smashes to delight a small number of fans present near the court.

Dhoni, during a promotional event, had revealed that he prefers playing badminton to maintain fitness, rather than hitting the gym.

“I am not a big gym fan,” Dhoni revealed. “It has been quite a long break and I have not yet initiated weight training. I want the body to recover fully and there is still a month to go before I play in the CLT20.”

“So I have been playing a lot of badminton over the last week,” he added. “It not only helps improve eyesight, but also the footwork.”
