KL Rahul is one of the most improved players across formats for India. He is enjoying a purple patch at the moment, and has stamped himself as a key member of the Indian team in both longer and shorter versions of the game.
After a fine stint in the five-day format, Rahul carried his form to the Indian Premier League. He was among the leading run-scorers for Royal Challengers Bangalore. His great run earned him a place in the limited-overs squad.

Chris Gayle was one of the cricketers, who witnessed Rahul closely at the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The big Jamaican praised the Karnataka batsman, terming him hardworking and India’s future star.
“Rahul is a super player and has been scoring runs in all formats of the game. He is definitely one for the future,” Gayle insisted. “Rahul is someone who will be giving Virat Kohli a run for his money.”

“He works extremely hard on his fitness and on his game,” the Jamaican added. “He is definitely going great guns and all he needs to do is keep working hard and the results will follow.”
Rahul’s next assignment with the Indian team is New Zealand series. The Blackcaps are traveling to India for a three-match Test series, followed by five one-day internationals.
