BCCI to select India squad for Sri Lanka tour on July 23

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will select India squad for Sri Lanka tour on July 23. India would play three Test matches, after a warm-up game in the Island nation.

This would be the first time in five years India would be touring Sri Lanka for a Test series. The Indian cricket team last visited the Emerald Isle in 2010 when the Test series ended 1-1 draw.

Virat Kohli-led side will arrive in the island nation on August 3, announced the BCCI. The Indian cricket team will then play a warm-up match at the R Premadasa Stadium, starting August 6.

The first Test of the series in Galle will commence from August 12, followed by the second and third at the Tamil Union Oval and SSC Colombo, respectively.

After three matches, the Indian cricket team will return home on September 2, Wednesday.
