Australia wicketkeeper, Brad Haddin has announced his retirement from one-dayers, and will continue to appear in the Test matches.

Haddin, who has played three World Cups for Australia, is the third most successful keeper, after Adam Gilchrist and Ian Healy for the Kangaroos in the ODIs.

The 37-year-old Haddin has played 126 one-dayers for Australia, scoring 3122 runs at an average of 31.53. He scored two centuries and 16 fifties, while he has 170 catches and 11 stumpings to his name.

“I have had a privileged one-day career and I have been fortunate enough to be involved in three World Cups and now is the right time to walk away,” Haddin said.

“Not many players get to write a script like mine at the end of their careers and I have been lucky enough to do just that after winning a World Cup on home soil.”

“I leave the team with Australia ranked number one in the world and I am proud of everything we have achieved,” he concluded.
