The Indian team displayed another imposing performance in the Asia Cup, as they went past Sri Lanka with ease in Mirpur to reach the finals of the tournament.
It was an all-round performance from the team that has now won eight out of the nine T20 matches this year.
The bowlers were once again in their elements, while the middle-order, held together by Virat Kohli, displayed a clinical performance in the run chase.
Yuvraj Singh, too, played his part and made a blistering 18-ball 35, featuring three massive sixes. His performance was enough to earn praise from captain MS Dhoni.
“In the last 9-10 T20s we have played, we have done well. It was good to see a few of the others contributing as well,” Dhoni said in the post-match presentation.
“Yuvraj Singh’s innings was crucial, not just for this match but for the team as well, good to see him get into some good form,” he added.
