Kiran More at tea, Day 4, 1st Test

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s fifth wicket came a bit late for his team, as England managed to edge past India’s score of 457 and in return were able enough to give them a lead of 39 runs. The deficit might not be big enough to cause any trouble to the visiting team, but it has certainly pushed Team India a step behind in this game. It will be interesting to see whether Indian skipper MS Dhoni would try to be defensive in his approach or would think of taking a gamble here in order to expect a result out of this Test.

Considering it to be the first game of the series, and with wicket not assisting the bowlers too much, I believe that Indian think tank will decide to play it safe and will ask its batsmen to be defensive in their approach from now on. As a result they may not declare before Tea tomorrow and the game may head towards a draw. However, having taken Dhawan’s wicket, England must have their tail up going for tea.
