Last year when the Chennai Super Kings were knocked out of the IPL during the play-off duel against the Kings XI Punjab, captain MS Dhoni had mentioned how his team had missed Dwayne Bravo.
Dhoni also said that CSK missed Bravo’s all-round skills, as the West Indies cricketer was nursing an injury. Bravo isn’t the only cricketer Dhoni will miss in case one of his players is ruled out with an injury. In fact, he values each and every member of CSK.
The CSK skipper makes them feel special and keep reminding them how important they are for his team’s scheme of things. This is the culture, which not many IPL team can boast of.
These are a few factors that make CSK the most consistent team in the competition. Their performance in this year’s IPL has again showed why they are the most feared team. And, who knows it better than the Delhi Daredevils, against whom CSK will be playing at Raipur.
Incidentally, CSK first match of this season was against the Daredevils at the Chepauk. CSK had won that match by only one runs. So, this time, they will be looking to dominate Delhi from the very beginning after winning a very important game over the Rajasthan Royals.
As far as the Daredevils are concerned, it’s all about playing this match for pride. They are already out of play-off race and now it is just about entertaining fans with some fearless performance.
