The Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground has already witnessed tempers flaring between Australia and India, with both teams not shying away from taking a dig at one another.
India’s Virat Kohli has been in the middle of most of them as the explosive right-hander had a massive verbal spat with Aussie speedster Mitchell Johnson on the third day at the MCG.
Kohli was again come under verbal volleys of the Australian team in the final day, when wicketkeeper Brad Haddin exchanged some words with the Indian in the middle.
The incident occurred in the fifth over of the second innings, when Kohli pushed the ball to mid-off and rushed for the single, but Murali Vijay didn’t left the crease as he was watching the ball.
Kohli, despite coming more than half-way into the pitch, had to rush back to the safety, as David Warner’s throw was not accurate and went well wide off Haddin.
The Aussie wicketkeeper was quick to throw some words at Kohli, as the right-hander left fuming with Vijay, who didn’t respond to his call.
“There he goes on his team again,” Haddin mocked. “It’s all about you. It’s all about the one.” Kohli, too, said some words, with pacer Ryan Harris also joining the altercation.
