India batsman Suresh Raina is a special player, be it for Team India or the Indian Premier League franchise, and has cemented himself as a limited-overs specialist.

Raina is currently touring Down Under with the Indian Test side, and after making a name in the one-dayers and T20s, is aiming to prove his worth in the whites.

The swashbuckling batsman has played a number of match-winning innings for the men in blue for Chennai Super Kings. His ability to increase the tempo, when required, makes his one of the most destructive middle-order batsmen.

Here are some of his innings that prove Raina is a vital cog:

1.) Kings XI Punjab faced Suresh Raina’s wrath, when the destructive southpaw smashed 87 off just 25 balls.

 

2.) Making centuries in T20s is no joke and that too against South Africa. Suresh Raina, meanwhile, toyed with the Proteas bowlers and smashed a 101-ball 60 at St.Lucia in the 2010 World T20.

 

3.) When an opposition post 180 in a T20 encounter, it is a good total any day, but not when Suresh Raina at his dazzling best. The southpaw demolished Kolkata Knight Riders in the CLT20 final to take his team home inside 20 overs.

4.) Suresh Raina struck a scorching ton against England in the 1st ODI to motivate Team India, after Test series drubbing, as the men in blue went on to clinch the one-day series later.

5.) Suresh Raina is also crucial for Team India on the field and his electric movement has had given spectators some amazing scenes.
