MS Dhoni keeps his emotions in check on the field, and seeing him reacting in any which way is a rare sight. But, the Captain Cool altogether a different person as soon he leaves the field and enters the dressing room.
Suresh Raina, who is a close friend of MS Dhoni, and also the regular of Team India, has revealed some interesting facts about the India limited-overs skipper recently on a TV show.
The swashbuckling southpaw tagged MS Dhoni as the ‘comedian of Team India’, revealing that the Captain Cool makes everyone laugh in the dressing room.
“I don’t know about others but for me the comedian of our team is MS Dhoni,” Suresh Raina. “He is very serious on ground. But once he enters the (dressing) room he says something and everybody starts laughing.”
Suresh Raina insisted that he has a huge respect for MS Dhoni and he has learnt to find happiness in team’s success from the Captain Cool only.
The left-hander added that Dhoni is a calming figure in the dressing room, and provides motivation to every member of the squad.
“I have learnt to stay happy in my teams happiness from Dhoni,” Suresh Raina insisted. “When Dhoni’s baby was about to be born I asked him why he wasn’t going, he told the country comes first for him.”
“If you are under pressure and you talk to him, he will calm you down,” he added. “If you have such inspiration in life then you don’t need any other motivation.”
