Cricket viewing experience has enhanced quite considerably over the past few years and South Africa team in Bangladesh took it a step further by using drone in the practice session.
The Proteas practicing at the National Cricket Academy used a drone to capture ‘creative views and images’ of the session without knowing the rules of the country.
It is prohibit using unmanned aerial vehicles in Bangladesh airspace without a prior permission. As Bangladesh officials came to know about the drone, they asked South Africa team management to ground it.
South African team had to take down the drone after the objection and team manager Mohammed Moosajee issued an apology to Bangladesh authorities.
“The TV crew brought the drone over to try to obtain creative views and images to use for our YouTube channel,” Moosajee said. “We do apologise to the Bangladesh military and security forces.”
The drone, meanwhile, managed to take a photograph of the practice session and it looked absolutely stunning by all means. South Africa are in Bangladesh to play two T20I, three ODIs and two Tests.
