The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has announced India A squad for the upcoming three-day match against Bangladesh A, slated to take place from September 27 to 29 in Karnataka.

India opener Shikhar Dhawan, who missed the last two Tests against Sri Lanka owing a fractured hand, has been named the skipper of the side.

The team consisting mostly of young talents like Karun Nair, Baba Aparajith and Shreyas Iyer, to name a few, also features Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Aaron.

Jadeja’s inclusion in the squad shows he is still very much part of Team India’s plans for the season starting with the South Africa series later this month.

Pacer Aaron, who has been in and out of the Indian team, and eventually dropped from the squad, would be aiming to put himself in contention of a spot in the side.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh A led by Mominul Hoque, also features some promising names, and the team is expected to give a tough challenge to India A squad in the forthcoming game.

Shikhar Dhawan (c), Abhinav Mukund, Karun Nair, Shreyas Iyer, Baba Aparajith, Naman Ojha, Jayant Yadav, Vijay Shankar, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Gopal, Abhimanyu Mithun, Varun Aaron, Ishwar Pandey and Sheldon Jackson.
