Shahid Afridi is on the verge of becoming the fifth bowler to complete 400 wickets in ODI history. He has got 393 wickets at an average of 33.94 from 391 matches.

If he gets three more wickets in the first match against India in Adelaide, he would become the third Pakistan bowler to take 400 wickets after legendary Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.

Akram took 502 ODI wickets while Waqar had 416 scalps. The highest ODI wicket taker is Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan (534). Another Lankan Chaminda Vaas has 400 wickets to his credit.
