From the time the Rajasthan Royals lost their one over eliminator against the Kings XI Punjab, their super form has been dented somewhat. Then, they lost against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Mumbai India. Despite being in the top half of the points table, the Royals aren’t able to stamp that kind of authority, which they could do in the first five matches of the competition.

Somewhere, something is not right with the team. With Rahul Dravid at the helm of affairs in the coaching staff, the Royals will be hoping to make amends in the special edition match of the IPL at the Brabourne stadium on Sunday evening.

This match is the 500th match of the IPL and this is a special moment for the Indian cricket board (BCCI). This is also a special occasion for the Royals and the Delhi Daredevils, as both these teams will be looking to make this special match their own.

The Daredevils, for example, are desperate to win four to five matches out of six encounters that are left in the league. It’s certainly not going to be easy for a team, which is marginally an improved version this year compared to what it was in last two seasons.

But after a resounding win against the Kings XI Punjab on home turf on Friday, the Daredevils are on a good wicket. They believe that their IPL campaign is back on track and it’s only a matter of time before they clinch the required number of matches.
