The Indian team has taken a healthy lead over England in Mohali, courtesy their lower-order. Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav struck fifties to help India post 417 in the first innings. India leads the game by 134 runs.
Jadeja and Jayant stitched a 80-run partnership for the eighth wicket on the third day. They kept the England bowlers at bay, and ensured that the Indian team take complete control of the game.
After Jadeja’s departure, Jayant added crucial 33 runs with Umesh Yadav. Earlier, a 97-run partnership between Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin helped India in taking lead over England.

Ben Stokes was the pick of the bowlers for England. He finished with a fifer and bowled with both heart and skills. Adil Rasheed supported Stokes from the other end and finished with four wickets.
Earlier, England made 283 runs in their first innings. Jonny Bairstow scored a fifty, and England’s innings together. His effort, however, didn’t prove enough to put the visitors in driving seat.
