Ravichandran Ashwin has spent most of his time playing under MS Dhoni. However, from the upcoming England series, he will be playing under the new leadership of Virat Kohli, who is now India’s captain across all formats.
The offspinner admitted that he will have to make a few adjustments to come in grip with Kohli. Ashwin termed Kohli an aggressive captain, who has a different style of communication than MS Dhoni.

“It will be different in terms of interactions you’ll have,” Ashwin said. “Before, when I used to play alongside Mahi, which won’t happen this game onwards, it’s almost about communication through from top of the mark to the keeper.”
“Obviously, Virat will be around at short midwicket or short cover. But it is going to be different in that terms,” he added. “We have to try and get used to those communications.”

Kohli will start his first assignment as India’s limited-overs captain against England from January 15. The Indian team will be playing a three-match ODI series, followed by as many T20 games.
India have already defeated England in the five-match Test series.
