Qualifier2: SRH beat KKR by 13 Runs, Ready to Battle with Beasts

KKR won the toss chose to bowl first. SRH opened with Shikhar Dhawan and Riddhiman Saha, who started the innings with a very good strategy. Not hitting big hits,  cracking the loose deliveries, SRH was 45/0 at the end of the powerplay.

Hyderabad was looking powerful until the 8th over. Kuldeep started his spell and on the first  bowl Dhawan tried to place it in the mid-on but ball hit the pad. Dhawan got out very angry.

Kane Williamson came in and he also goes back as Kuldeep make ball edged his bat and DK didn’t made any mistake. This over halted SRH.  loosing two wickets, SRH lost the momentum but Saha was still on the crease and shakib took guard on the other end.

KKR was constantly putting pressure by spin attacks from the both ends of the bowling.

Narine, Kuldeep and Chawla was on an attack.  After 9 overs SRH was 62/2.

First ball of the 10th over KKR lost their review as Saha tried a sweep and ball hit the bat first,  DK took DRS and ended up loosing it. SRH was struggling there, but Saha wasn’t, hitting boundaries Saha scored 35(26)*.

After a 10 over game SRH was 79/2.

3rd ball of the next over saha stepped out of he crease and DK made no mistake, got Stumped. Saha lost his wicket. Hyderabad

Hudda came in as the next batsman. Hyderabad was looking for a partnership there. Spin attacks was for them from the both ends of bowling.

After 12 overs SRH was  90/3.

Struggling Hyderabad reached at the landmark of 100 runs in 14 overs.

On the 1st ball of Sixteenth over Shakib got Run-out by Kuldeep Yadav. SRH was in deep trouble.

Hooda tried to coup-up, hit some boundaries and looking for a shot gifted the ball in the safe hands of Chawla. 17 overs Hyderabad were 124/5.

Brathwaite came in and hit some boundaries and ended up loosing his wicket trying to take a second run, Rana threw the ball with a bullet speed and Brathwaite lost his wicket.

18 overs SRH was 138/6.

Mavi bowled and looking for a big hit Yusuf too lost his wicket as the ball went high in the air and Chawla takes it on the midwicket.

Then came Rashid Khan, as no-one expected this bowled will hit. He hit 34 runs in 10 balls and SRH managed to score 174 runs on the scoreboard.

 

Chasing the target of 175 runs,  KKR opened with Lynn and Narine. Both gave a solid start and took the team to the score of 40 in 3 overs and  Narine lost his wicket.

Nitish Rana and Lynn took the team forward.

Rana lost his wicket in a running mix-up.

10 overs KKR were 93/2.

The 11th over was the actual turning point when Rashid Khan bowled Uthappa.

Captain Dinesh Karthik took guard but couldn’t keep it long as he got bowled in the 12th over by Shakib.

But this was not the end of problems for KKR, Chris Lynn to went off and after 14 over KKR were 117/5.

There was too much expectations from Russell but he broke them as lost his wicket on. Loose shot.

Chawla and Gill tried to back their team they took the match to the 19th over and KKR needed 30 runs in two overs. On the first ball Kaul bowled Chawla. KKR almost lost hopes to win, But them Shubhman Gill hit six on the last ball and kept KKR alive for the last over.

KKR needed 19 in 6 balls. Carlos Brathwaite came to bowl the final over. He was hit for a four. However, on the second ball, Mavi was dismissed. Kuldeep Yadav came to the crease but Gill was on strike. Prasidh Krishna came to the crease. SRH won by 13 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 13 runs to enter the finals. SRH will now face Chennai Super Kings in the finals on Sunday. Rashid Khan produced an all-round performance to help his team pull off their first victory since May 10. Rashid scored 34 runs, took 3 wickets, was involved in a runout and took two catches.

Now SRH is ready to battle with the beast, CSK.
