Patience key for young Team India’s success in Test cricket, says Rohit Sharma

Team India

After the retirement of MS Dhoni from Test cricket, Team India is in a rebuilding process in the longest version of the game and Rohit Sharma feels the young side needs to be given time.

Virat Kohli will lead the Indian cricket team in Test cricket now, and a one-off Test match against Bangladesh in Fatullah will be his first assignment as a full-time skipper.

Rohit, who recently led the Mumbai Indians to the IPL title, said the young side will be under pressure to deliver, but he is confident the team will prove itself.

“The onus is on all of us to deliver,” Rohit said. “Test cricket is a different ball game altogether. We have played some good cricket and we (youngsters) all have different styles of play, which is good.”

“We know the fact that we will have someone in the side who will rise to the occasion, but one needs to be patient too,” he added. “We are a developing side and I am confident we will do well ahead.”
