MS Dhoni after the Win: Won’t Get Second Chance in Knockouts

It was again a night to remember for the Indian fans, as the Indian team defeated archrivals Pakistan, at the Eden Gardens, in a dominating way.

There were a few jitters when the chase started, after Mohammed Shami got quick wickets, but Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh set up a clinical win for the hosts.

Captain MS Dhoni, as usual, gave the finishing touch by sending one into the stands, and India continued its winning streak over Pakistan in the World Cups.

Dhoni, in the post-match presentation, looked pleased with the overall performance, but insisted that still there are areas of improvement in the Indian team.

“In the second half it got slightly better, and they had only one spinner,” Dhoni said. “Initially when we saw the pitch we did not think it would turn so much.”

“I think we can do better, there are areas we can improve, once we get into the knockouts you won’t get a second chance. If I knew from the start if it would turn so much I have no problems playing another spinner.”
