The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has confirmed a two-match T20 series against West Indies in the United States. It is the first time that the Indian team is travelling to the States for playing an international match.

MS Dhoni will join the Indian team directly in the United States. He is expected to be joined by pacer Jasprit Bumrah and allrounder Hardik Pandya for the T20 series in the West.

The two T20 matches will take place in August 27 and 28 at Florida’s Central Broward Regional Park.

“As part of our continuous efforts to reach out to new markets and audiences. I am very happy to announce that Team India will play two T20Is against the current world champions West Indies in the United States.”

“This will be a great opportunity for the cricket fans in America to watch the two champion sides in action. This will be developed into an annual cricketing event in the United States,” Anurag Thakur informed.

The Indian team is currently camped in the Caribbean for the Test series. They are playing a four-match series, which is concluding on August 18 at the Port of Spain.

Most members of the Indian T20 squad are in the West Indies. Only Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, Murali Vijay, Ishant Sharma, Stuart Binny and Shardul Thakur will return home.
