Indian Cricket Team Sniffing Another Thumping Win over West Indies

Team India Test

Tropical storm, Earl, halted India’s juggernaut at the Sabina Park, but the visitors are still in it for a huge win over the West Indies. The Indian Cricket Team now need just six wickets to wrap-up the 2nd Test on the final day.

A little under 16 overs were bowled on the fourth day. The Indian team, however, made the most of them and ripped through the Windies top-order. Rajendra Chandrika, Kraigg Brathwaite, Marlon Samuels and Darren Bravo were dismissed by the Indians on a rain-curtailed day.

Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma used the conditions pretty well. Shami, in particular, looked in great rhythm. He swung the ball under clouds, and dismissed Samuels and Bravo.

It was again a shoddy batting display from the West Indies, as the Indians picked wickets pretty easily.

Brathwaite was a fine example of the West Indies’ approach. When he was required at the middle, the West Indies opener threw his wickets. He pulled Amit Mishra’s intentionally short pitched ball in the air to KL Rahul.

India now need just a session or two to complete another win over the West Indies. The hosts are still 256 runs behind India’s first innings total. And, it seems the weather might not bail them out, too.

The weather forecast is better for the final day. Not more than a couple of showers are expected in the day. The Indian Cricket Team will have 98 overs on the final day to win this one, if weather permits.
