The emergence of Jasprit Bumrah has more or less solved India vows with ball, especially in the death, as he has turned into a potent weapon for MS Dhoni.
Bumrah has been impressive with both the new and old ball, and has provided breakthroughs to the Indian team at crucial junctures in the ongoing Asia Cup.
The Indian captain has praised Bumrah for his superb showing in the shortest format of the game so far, and praised his bowling prowess with both new and old ball.
“Jasprit is someone I feel who bowls well with the new ball also,” Dhoni said. “Yes, he has given us some relief when it comes to death bowling.”
“But people should realise that he will also go for runs on some days,” he added. “So far he’s been very good for us with the new ball as well as the death.”
The Indian team has already qualified for the finals of the Asia Cup, and is set to face the qualifiers UAE in its final league game tomorrow.
