If reports are to be believed, MS Dhoni might play a couple of practice matches against England. The practice games will give him a good opportunity to get back into the groove ahead of the three one-dayers.
England and India A will play a couple of practice matches on January 10 and 12 before the limited-overs series.
Dhoni last played an international game in October against New Zealand. Since then, he is on a break. He, however, is training with Jharkhand, but will not play any first-class match for his state side.

The three-match ODI series between India and England will start from January 15 in Pune, followed games in Cuttack (January 19) and Kolkata (January 22). It will be followed by three T20s in Kanpur, Nagpur and Bangalore.
Currently, the Indian team is gearing up for the 4th Test against England in Mumbai. The Indians are leading the five-match Test series 2-0, after winning matches in Vizag and Mohali.
The 4th Test will start Thursday at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
