You can barely see Mahendra Singh Dhoni losing his cool, but the Captain Cool was left fuming, when he was denied having home-cooked biryani in the hotel.

Chennai Super Kings skipper Dhoni, according to reports, led his troops out of the hotel, after Hotel Grand Kakatiya did not allow the team to have the fine cuisine sent by Ambati Rayudu.

Hotel Grand Kakatiya does not allow outside food in the hotel premises and due to which an upset Dhoni shifted to Taj Krishna Hotel along with team management and support staff.

Sending home-cooked food is not uncommon among cricketers and upon Rayudu’s request biryani was sent from his home, when CSK was camped in Hyderabad.

The reports stats that the Indian skipper wanted to enjoy the biryani in the board room, although hotel had allowed the team to have it in their rooms, which the hotel refused to do.

No official confirmation was given by the Chennai team management about the ‘biryani incident’ but CSK spokesman Russel Radhakrishnana informed that the team was “not happy with the hotel”.

“If you have information about such incidents you may write so,” Radhakrishnana said. “All I can say is we were not happy with the hotel and we moved out.”

The Grand Kakatiya staff confirmed that CSK abruptly left the hotel but did not reveal what led to their sudden departure to rival hotel.

“We’re a five-star deluxe facility and there are five other such hotels in the city,” hotel’s general manager George Verghese said. “One is free to pick one’s place of stay.”

“I am bound by confidentiality agreement with our guests and cannot vouch for your information, although I cannot stop you from writing it,” he added.
