The selectors have announced the team for the upcoming limited-overs Zimbabwe tour, featuring three one-dayers and as many T20s, starting June 11.
MS Dhoni has been named captain of the team, while other senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin are rested for the tour.
KL Rahul, meanwhile, has been rewarded for his consistent performance in the ongoing Indian Premier League, and got a maiden call in the limited-overs format.
Uncapped batsman Faiz Faisal has also been included in the team, while Yuzvendra Chahal, Kedar Jadhav and Jaydev Unadkat have also made the cut.
Allrounder Ravindra Jadeja has not been picked for the series, and neither does Harbhajan Singh. Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah have been added in the squad.
The selectors have also not included allrounder Hardik Pandya, and picked Rishi Dhawan on his place. Jayant Yadav and Karun Nair also also in the squad.
