Dhoni, after playing the fourth ODI in Dharamshala, also become the fourth wicketkeeper to play 250 or more games. The fourth one-dayer was Captain Cool’s 250th game and now he is behind Kumar Sangakkara (336), Mark Boucher (294) and Adam Gilchrist (282).

Here are some of the other records that were made in the 4th ODI:

1.) Virat Kohli (127) scored his 20th ODI hundred – his third against West Indies. Kohli took 133 innings to score 20 ODI hundreds, which makes him the quickest to reach this mark. Sachin Tendulkar held the previous record taking 197 innings.

2.) The hundred was Kohli’s eighth on Indian soil. This takes him ahead MS Dhoni’s tally of seven hundreds in India. Now only Sachin Tendulkar (20) has scored more ODI hundreds on Indian soil.

3.) Kohli on 17, completed his 1000 runs against West Indies. He became the fourth Indian to do so after Sachin Tendulkar (1573), Rahul Dravid (1348) and Sourav Ganguly (1142).

4.) By taking 21 innings to reach this mark, Kohli became the quickest to aggregate 1000 runs against West Indies, beating Jacques Kallis and Sourav Ganguly, who each took 25 innings to accomplish this feat.

5.) This was the eighth instance of India scoring 300 or more against West Indies – more than any other side. India were earlier at level with Australia with seven such instances.

6.) Ravindra Jadeja’s figures of 9-1-80-2 are the most expensive by an Indian bowler against West Indies. Mohinder Amarnath had conceded 79 runs at Jamshedpur in 1983.
