The coolest man in world cricket, India’s limited-overs captain MS Dhoni is among just the three Indians that are being featured in ESPN World Fame 100 Rankings.
MS Dhoni has been ranked 14th on the list, ahead of athletes like Usain Bolt, Novak Djokovic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Floyd Mayweather, to name a few.
The list had been topped by Portugal and Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo, while NBA superstar LeBron James and Argentina striker Lionel Messi are second and third, respectively.
Indian Test captain Virat Kohli is eighth on the list, while tennis sensation Sania Mirza is ranked 41. Dhoni, Kohli and Sania are the only Indians on the list.
Footballer Neymar, Tennis ace Roger Federer, Kevin Durant, golfer Tiger Woods, Real Madrid player James Rodriguez and Rafael Nadal complete the top-10.
The list has been put together by ESPN’s director of sports analytics, Ben Alamar, by taking the combination of salaries, endorsements, social media following and Google search popularity into account.
Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova is the highest-ranked female athlete on the list at 18th place, former UFC champion Ronda Rousey at 23rd place, while Serena Williams is 25th on the list.
