Master Class! AB de Villiers breaks Corey Anderson’s record of fastest ODI hundred

AB de Villiers is certainly from a different league altogether and there are no doubts over the hitting prowess of the South Africa ODI skipper. He has proved it time and again but the way he batted at the New Wanderers, it was simply outrageous!

The South African talisman played one of the most of unbelievable knocks and quite literally battered the West Indies bowlers in Johannesburg. De Villiers went berserk and broke Corey Anderson’s fastest century record, which the New Zealander made last year.

De Villiers took just 31 balls to complete his nineteenth one-day international century and ended with a 44-ball 149. He also smashed 16 sixes in his innings – equaling the record of most number of sixes in an innings record – along with nine boundaries.

Riding on de Villiers ridiculous knock, the Proteas posted 439 on an expense of just two wickets, with Hashim Amla (153 not out) and Rilee Rossouw (128) also making centuries, but were quite rightly overshadowed by a mind blowing innings of their captain.
