The recently launched teaser trailer of the ‘MS Dhoni The Untold Story’ has created plenty of hype, and the first look of Sushant Singh Rajput as the Indian captain has received amazing response from both fans and critics alike.
National award winning film director, Madhur Bhandarkar, too, can’t wait to see the untold story of the Indian captain, who rose to stardom from a humble beginning.
Bhandarkar, who has made films like Corporate, Fashion and Chandni Bar, said the forthcoming biopic is one such movie that he is looking forward to.
The biopic on the life of Dhoni is hitting screens on September 2 this year, and recently during Team India’s World T20 2016 match against New Zealand the teaser trailer of the movie was released.
Sushant, who is essaying Dhoni in the movie, was seen walking at the railway platform, displaying early years of the Indian captain, when he was a ticket collector in the Indian Railways.
Bhandarkar insisted that seeing the story of Dhoni, how he developed into a sporting icon, which is today, will not only be fascinating, but also inspiring.
“MS Dhoni biopic will be inspirational. (It shows) how he came (to cricket) and become a big cricketer,” Bhandarkar, who was a guest commentator for Cricket Radio, said.
