Kane Williamson again guessed the toss wrong to give the Indian team an advantage in the 3rd ODI. India captain MS Dhoni decided to field first, which means the Blackcaps will again have to bowl in the dew.
Dhoni decided not to make any change in the squad, and fielded the same XI for the third straight time. Suresh Raina was overlooked for the 3rd ODI, as he was unfit because of the viral fever.

“It looks like a good team, looks complete, and we want to give a few players the chances to prove themselves. That’s the reason we are sticking with the same them,” Dhoni concluded.
Meanwhile, the Kiwis made just one change from the last match. Allrounder Jimmy Neesham replaced Anton Devcich.
