KL Rahul, Mohit Sharma Likely to Make it to Zimbabwe Tour

KL Rahul and Mohit Sharma have a good chance of making it to the India’s limited-overs squad that is slated to play three one-dayers and three T20s in Zimbabwe.

Team India will be touring the African nation for a short series, starting June 11, and after an impressive IPL outings, Rahul and Mohit are likely to make the cut.

Rahul has been one of the most consistent performers for Royal Challengers Bangalore, this season. He has pilled 348 runs in nine innings at an average of 58.

Rahul has an impressive Test record, and already has a couple of overseas centuries, playing as an opener. He is yet to make ODI & T20 debut for India.

On the other hand, Mohit Sharma, playing for Kings XI Punjab, has 12 wickets to his name. Mohit has been out of the game after sustaining an injury in December.

Apart from Mohit, the selectors are also likely to include pacer Mohammad Shami, who has proved his form and fitness with Delhi Daredevils.

Jasprit Bumrah is the other name that is in contention, along with allrounder Krunal Pandya, seamer Sandeep Sharma and Test opener Murali Vijay.
