Kings XI Punjab have announced David Miller their skipper for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, starting April 9.
The South African, who has been associated with the Punjab-based franchisee since IPL 4, replaced Aussie George Bailey as the skipper for the IPL 9.
“I am honoured to lead the Kings XI Punjab squad this year,” Miller said. “I would like to thank the franchise: promoters, management and all the team members for the confidence they have in me.”
“Kings XI have assembled an exciting squad with a good mixture of youth and experience and I am really looking forward to the opportunity that lies ahead.”
Kings XI had a disastrous outing in the last IPL season, as they finished the league at the bottom, winning just three games and accumulating six points.
