The two-match T20 series between India and West Indies has an important context. It is unlike any other bilateral T20 series. There will be a lot at stake when these two lock horns at the Central Broward Regional Park.
Team India bambozzled West Indies in the Test matches, but T20s are a different ball game altogether. They are world champions in this format. And, in T20s they are a team to beat at any place.

“West Indies has always been a tough side, they are the T20 world champions,” Indian coach Anil Kumble said.
“They are quality cricketers and have shown consistently how good they are. We had a tough match in the semifinals of the T20 World Cup as well. In terms of the quality that we are going to encounter, we are aware of that.”
The World T20 semifinal defeat is still afresh in Indian team’s mind. They would be looking to avenge that defeat in the two T20s in Florida. The series is starting today.
“The only thing that we are doing is that we will prepare as best as we. India is going to be coming looking for revenge for the semi-final loss,” West Indies coach Phil Simmons said. “We have to make sure that we are ready for whatever they bring to us.”
