MS Dhoni Believes International Break Gave Him Time to Work on Fitness

MS Dhoni is back, and he is looking fit as ever. The Indian limited-overs captain has worked on his fitness. His washboard physic is showing the hardwork he has put in during his international break.

The Captain Cool didn’t travel to the Caribbean Islands for the Test series. He is coming back into the team after almost a two-month break. The Indian captain last played in June in Zimbabwe.

“During a packed season, maintaining fitness becomes tough because you can’t put too much effort into it. You’re constantly monitoring workloads,” Dhoni said in the press conference.

“When you have a break, you can plan your schedules,” he added. “That’s what I’ve done so that it helps prolong my career. Overall, it’s important to relish the in-between time.”

Dhoni is set to lead the Indian team in the two-match T20 series, starting today. The back-to-back T20s are taking place at Florida’s Central Broward Regional Park.

“West Indies is an extraordinary team in the limited-overs format,” MS Dhoni said ahead of the T20 series. “Sometimes having one allrounder can give you balance. They have two or three.”
