India needs 2-3 big partnerships to save this game – Kiran More at Lunch, Day 3, Rose Bowl Test

The first session has not gone well for Team India who lost both their overnight batsmen Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara to Stuart Broad. With three top Indian batsmen already back into the dressing room, England is now on the top of this game. Their bowlers have bowled intelligently and with a discipline line on a flat wicket and that’s the main reason why they have achieved initial success. India will definitely feel the pressure of a follow on considering they have already lost three main wickets and one or two more wickets in the next few sessions can land them in deep trouble.

I’m very impressed with the way James Anderson and Stuart Broad have bowled in this inning as they have constantly foxed the Indian batsmen with their pace and swing. What was being termed as a flat wicket when Indian was bowling suddenly looks a bowlers paradise when these two are bowling. And this is because they not only have the ability to swing the ball but also have some genuine pace which they are using well to trouble the Indian batsmen.

India would only hope that they don’t lose any more wickets in this session and they now badly need 2-3 big partnerships in this inning otherwise the game could slip from their hands.
