It is disappointing to see the way Indian batting has collapsed in the first innings chasing a big total at Rose Bowl. The Indian batsmen have clearly lacked application in this game and failure of Indian top and middle order is something that will worry Indian skipper MS Dhoni for the future matches. Awful dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli is certainly going to upset the Indian think tank considering the type of situation Team India was in and the kind of shots both the batsmen played to get out. Rohit Sharma’s poor dismissal of Mooen Ali is sheer frustrating as the shot he chose to play against the off spinner is hard to digest – even for Rohit himself. Team India still trail by a big margin of 355 runs and with Ajinkya Rahane and MS Dhoni at the crease, India have a long distance to cover in this Test match.
