Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin have achieved their respective bests in the ICC Test Rankings. According to the latest points’ tally, Kohli has reached second, while Ashwin has consolidated the number 1 Test bowlers’ spot.
The Indian Test captain is second in the latest Test rankings. His double-century in Mumbai lifted him above England’s Joe Root. He is now just nine rating points behind the top-placed Steve Smith.
Kohli is currently the numero uno batsman in the T20s (820), and placed second (848) in the ODI rankings.

Meanwhile, Ashwin has continued to strengthen his position in the Test rankings. He is now 27 points ahead of Rangana Herath. Dale Steyn is third, while James Anderson is fourth and Josh Hazlewood is fifth.
Ravindra Jadeja, on the other hand, has closed the gap on Hazlewood. He is now just two points behind the Aussie pacer at sixth position. Stuart Broad is seventh, Mitchell Starc, Yasir Shah and Neil Wagner complete the top-10.
The Indian team has extended gap over England in the ICC Test rankings. India now have 115 rating points.
